Our Mother of Perpetual Help

(May 31 - Visitation)

St. Alphonsus Liguori, C.Ss.R. founded the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, popularly known as “Redemptorists,” in Naples, Italy in 1732. Redemptorists strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ, the Redeemer, by preaching the Gospel to the poor and most abandoned. The Congregation began as a response to the spiritual needs of the abandoned poor living in the rural, mountainous areas outside the city of Naples.

Our central government and mother church, the Church of San Alfonso, are located in Rome, Italy, on Via Merulana between the two major basilicas, St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran.
