Becoming a Redemptorist

Alphonsus left the courtroom shaken, embarrassed and humiliated. He had just lost an important court case because he erred in his reading of a critical piece of evidence. Several days later he visited the hospital where he would oftentimes go to tend to the sick. Once inside he suddenly found himself surrounded by a light. Then he heard a voice say, “Leave the world and give yourself to me.”

Alphonsus would become one of the Church’s greatest saints.

So much is possible when we open ourselves to the Word of God.
